Today’s cars are already capable of some degree of semi-autonomous drive, through a variety of driving assistance features or even with some form of auto piloting in the best and most advanced cases. The automotive industry is already looking ahead to the next phase of autonomy where the self-driven car will be the next and ultimate frontier and a world full of autonomous vehicles is perhaps no more than 5 or 10 years down the road. As self-driving cars became a tangible reality, with different players demonstrating prototypes, the technological and legal challenges also arise.
